THÜROS stainless steel grills are manufactured at our company site in Georgenthal, Thuringia, Germany. For our grill bodies, we use 1.4301 stainless steel, also commonly known as V2A stainless steel.

We focus on robust construction, high-quality workmanship and the ability to replace many components individually. On this page, we explain the materials we use, how our grill bodies are manufactured and which design features contribute to the longevity of our grills.

Designed for long-term use

A THÜROS grill is designed for long-term use. The grill bodies of our stainless steel grills are made from 1.4301 stainless steel. This material is corrosion-resistant and, due to its properties, is particularly suitable for robust grill constructions.

We provide a 25-year manufacturer's warranty on the stainless steel grill body of the relevant THÜROS models in accordance with our warranty terms and conditions.

Many components can be replaced or added individually if required. This means that a defect does not automatically require the entire grill to be replaced.

Uncoated grill body made from 1.4301 stainless steel

The stainless steel grill body is uncoated. No organic solvents are used in the surface treatment process.

The grill body is made from 1.4301 stainless steel. On the relevant models, plastic components can be removed separately.

THÜROS grills are manufactured at our company site in Georgenthal, Thuringia, Germany.

We combine modern manufacturing processes with skilled craftsmanship and assembly. One of the key materials used for our grill bodies is 1.4301 stainless steel.

Our aim is to create robust products with a strong focus on quality, repairability and long-term use.

Stainless steel offcuts from production

During the processing of stainless steel, offcuts and material remnants are generated. These are collected separately and returned to the metal recycling stream.

This allows stainless steel residues from production to be recycled and reused as a material.

Spare parts instead of complete replacement

Many components of our grills are available separately and can be replaced if required.

Depending on the model, these include charcoal trays, grill grate supports, handles, ventilation components, castors and other accessories. This means that even older THÜROS grills can often continue to be used, repaired or upgraded.

Removable components

The grill body is made from 1.4301 stainless steel. Other components and plastic parts can be removed separately on the relevant models.

This allows individual components to be handled separately for repair or replacement.

Choosing the right charcoal

For our charcoal grills, we recommend using high-quality barbecue charcoal that is suitable for the respective grill.

For charcoal made from wood, recognised certifications such as FSC or PEFC can provide information on the certified origin of the wood and the forest management practices involved.

In addition, the charcoal should meet the applicable requirements for barbecue charcoal.
