THÜROS Spit holder made of stainless steel
Versatile barbecue fun with skewers using the THÜROS spit holder.
When barbecuing with small wooden skewers, they often carbonise even though they were soaked long enough in water beforehand. Furthermore, they need a lot of space when placing them directly on the cooking grate.
With a THÜROS Spit holder these things cannot occur. The prepared skewers are inserted easily in the wholes of the spit holder. Then, the loaded spit holder is placed on the cooking grate of the barbecue equipped with a BBQ Hood or Swivelling Hood.
The THÜROS Spit holder is universally suitable for many various goods, i.e. to prepare Cake-Pops.

- Choose a fi rm horizontal installlation location. Put the charcoal (DIN 1860-2) only in the charcoal tray provided.
- To light the charcoal use only TÜV-GS/DIN EN 1860-3 tested fire lighters. When using lighter fluid make sure it does not flow into the flue or out of the vents. Never add lighter fluid to a burning fire.
- Before first use, preheat the BBQ for a few minutes without food and cooking grate so that any production residues can dissipate.
- Do not use the ventilation slide without gloves.
- Do not start grilling before the charcoal turned gray and reached the correct cooking temperature.
Tipp: Use less charcoal than with any conventional charcoal BBQs without a fl ue draught system. THÜROS® BBQs are truly economical BBQs and need considerably less fuel. Therefore, we recommend to use a high-quality charcoal.
